Our two-bedroom family home is located one block from charming Solano Avenue shopping, restaurants and several bus lines. We are 1.5 miles from downtown Berkeley, "gourmet ghetto," BART (train/subway) and University of California, Berkeley, and San Francisco Bay. Our home is sunny, comfortable and safe.
We are just 25 minutes from downtown San Francisco. You can use our home as your base to explore northern California – from San Francisco to Marin Headlands or south to Santa Cruz - and come back to a quiet neighborhood at night. Within walking distance or a 5-10 minute drive, excellent restaurants, theatre, music, professional sports, parks and beaches to explore. Easy day-trips to Napa and Sonoma Valley for wine tasting (1 hour 15 mins), Muir Woods to see the majestic redwoods(1 hr), Yosemite National Park (3 hrs) or Lake Tahoe (3 hours).

Our area of North Berkeley is great to walk around in -- long tree-lined streets featuring beautiful and unusual homes. We are near Solano Avenue, with bookstores, a public library nearby, shopping and restaurants. We are located in a key area from which to head off to central Berkeley, go to San Francisco or go east into the Sierras. There are activities here in town for everyone. There is always something to do in Berkeley!
